Accessorizing a minimalist wardrobe
We all know that the biggest misconception when transitioning to a more minimal lifestyle is the loss of style and quality through clothing. But many people forget that its not only what you wear, but how you accessorize and pair your outfit which truly makes it pop! For my personal style I love the simplicity in small details, whether its funky patterned socks, or an amazing gold bangle, simple details can truly make or break any outfit.
Tip #1: Less is always more!
Of course rings, earrings and bracelets are small accessories, but when you start to clunk every piece of jewellery you have to an outfit, it can begin to look a little bit played out and tacky.
Tip #2:Don’t be afraid to play with colour!
Sometimes its okay to add a pop of colour to make a more neutral outfit stand out more. What I usually love doing is is adding a nice emerald green bracelet, or a ruby red ring to an all black outfit. But be sure to not add to much colours, For example, emerald ring, earrings and necklace. Or a ruby necklace, with gold rings and purple studded earrings.
Tip #3: Play around with hair accessories!
Whenever I have my hair slicked back in a ponytail, I love adding a cute coloured hair scrunchie to give my outfit a cute, girly touch to it. I also love playing around with coloured bobby pins and clips, and what I love to do is add multiple gold bobby pins to each side of my head, to give the outfit a cool finish.
Tip #4: Put a ring on it!
I love wearing multiple small rings with any outfit, especially when you nails are freshly painted. The great thing about rings is that if you get them in bulk, they usually come in unique sizes and designs.
Tip #5: Sunglasses are your best friend!
I love accessorizing my minimal outfit with any type of sunglasses. Sunglasses are such a simple touch to an outfit, that can really amplify and take your wardrobe to the next level.
